Challenger Product Work
I worked closely with Challenger’s Learning Design team to develop several new products including a comprehensive course on sales negotiation tactics and an eLearning course focused on building business acumen.
Sales Negotiations
Instructor-Led Training
The main component of the Negotiations course was an instructor-led training that was designed for both in person and virtual settings. Throughout the course, a participant would experience 5 sessions taught by a Challenger facilitator in a small cohort. The session presentations were designed to be highly engaging and colorful to maintain participant attention. To reinforce the learning, participants would also have an action book to follow along with the presentation, fill in notes, and review key teaching points after the session.
The negotiations course is centered heavily around participation and role play situations. Separate documents were designed as briefs and information packets so participants could put their negotiation skills into action in a safe space.
eLearning
In addition to the instructor-led training, the Negotiations course included an eLearning component for asynchronous learning. Participants had the opportunity to take 4 courses to strengthen their negotiations skill set through tactical practice. I worked closely with the Learning Design team to develop visually engaging courses with lots of illustrations, interactive components, and videos.
I illustrated unique imagery that was highly tailored for each course to properly achieve learning points.
We decided to use an animated video to teach a complex and important topic. In collaboration with learning designers, I brainstormed the storyboard for the script, worked with internal talent to record a voiceover, then illustrated and animated the video.
Business Acumen
This eLearning course is a helpful introduction or refresher to the ins and outs of how a business works. To help make the content easy to consume, we created a storyline that the user follows through 8 micro-courses. Visually, there are multiple repeated scenes to help ground the story. We decided to use illustration to easily scale and customize the course. Through realistic scenarios, the learner is able to read, practice, and test their knowledge.
Videos
I storyboarded, illustrated, and animated several videos for the business acumen course. Since some of the basics of business can be complicated, we wanted to create short videos to help learners visualize the concepts. We intentionally used very simple graphics and straight-forward language to make sure the content was easily digestible by our viewers.
